Delete my RakoonTV account

This page explains how to delete your RakoonTV account (published by TENSAI IT) and its associated data. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

1. Delete your account from the app

The simplest and fastest way is to do it directly in the RakoonTV app, on iOS or Android:

1. Open the RakoonTV app and sign in;
2. Go to the Profile tab, then tap the Settings (⚙️) icon at the top of the screen;
3. Select “Delete my account”;
4. Confirm with your password (and your two-factor authentication code if you have enabled it);
5. Your account and its associated data are then deleted immediately.

2. No longer able to access the app?

If you can no longer sign in, email us at privacy@rakoontv.fr from your account’s email address, with the subject “Account deletion”. We handle your request within a maximum of 30 days.

3. Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we erase all of your personal data, including:

• Your account: email address, password (hashed), username, first and last name, profile picture, two-factor authentication settings;
• Your library and tracking (followed series and movies, statuses, watchlists);
• Your episode-by-episode progress and watch history;
• Your ratings, reactions and reports;
• Your friendships and your presence in leaderboards;
• Your badges and statistics (watch time, genres);
• Photos you uploaded in comments and your profile picture, erased from our servers.

4. Data that is kept or anonymised

To preserve the coherence of public discussions, comments that have already received replies from other users are not fully deleted: their content and images are erased, and their author is anonymised (shown as “deleted account”). Your comments that received no reply are, however, fully deleted. No data allowing you to be re-identified is kept in these anonymised comments.

We may also be required to keep certain data on a limited basis where the law requires it (for example, technical logs for security purposes).

5. Timelines

Deletion from the app takes effect immediately on our production systems. Our technical backups, kept for security and disaster-recovery purposes, are purged within a maximum of 30 days. After that period, none of your personal data is kept, except for any legal obligations.
